The hope of Nigeria’s Flying Eagles to win the U20 African Cup of Nations in Egypt has ended.
After losing the opening group game to Senegal, the Nigerian side bounced back strongly and recorded back to back win over Egypt and Mozambique.
They relied on their own goal to beat the Hippos of Uganda 1-0 in the quarter-final before facing the Scorpion of Gambia in the last four.
Played on Monday at the Cairo international stadium it was Bojang that netted the only goal of the game in the 8th minute to give his country passage into the final.
Nigeria got a penalty in the 86th minute but was missed by Abdullahi as they will face Tunisia in the third-place playoff.
