The captain of the Junior Teranga Lions of Senegal Samba Diallo has said they are ready to bring home the cup.
The Senegalese continue their readiness for the competition and they defeated Tunisia 1-2 in their warm-up game on Tuesday.
While speaking after the game, Diallo said they wanted to follow in the footsteps of their various national teams who have won trophies in recent times.
“We want to follow in the footsteps of our big brothers. Senegalese football has reached a stage where we only want to win. The team is ready. We are going to Egypt to bring the cup back to Senegal In Sha Allah. We need your prayers for this competition,” he said.
Senegal will open their campaign in the tournament on Sunday when they face Nigeria’s Flying Eagles in the opening group game.
