Belgium-based Nigerian player Gift Orban and his Germany-based compatriot Victor Boniface have both been spotted in Nigeria as the Super Eagles camp is officially set to open tomorrow in Uyo ahead of this weekend’s final game of the AFCON qualifier against Sao Tome and Principe.
The two strikers are part of the 23 invited players for the dead rubber game and could be set to make their debut for the Nigeria national team.
Boniface was rumoured to have ignored the invitation when Nigeria played the doubleheader against Guinea Bissau while Gift Orban also did not honor the invitation for the Nigeria U-23 matches in the last Olympics qualifier.
The two attackers have started the season very well, Orban has scored 6 goals in nine matches in all competitions for Gent in Belgium while Boniface was recently nominated for the best player of the month in Germany after scoring 4 goals in five matches for Bayern Leverkusen
Both players are expected to bring their rich form to the Nigeria national team on Sunday.
