Aston Martin ambassador Pedro de la Rosa has said current driver of Aston Martin can win his third drivers’ championship with Aston Martin this season.
De la Rosa said this ahead of the third race of the season which will be taking place in Australia this weekend. De la Rosa noted he knew of the winning mentality of a young Fernando Alonso as far back as 2001 in his debut in F1 for Minardi.
De la Rosa observed that more 20 years after the fightingspirit of Fernando Alonso which saw him win back-to-backtitles with Renault in 2005 and 2006 and he was quoted saying: “He’s a fighter, he enjoys having the pressure to deliver, he loves racing. And no matter where or what he drives, he always give it gives it 100%. His motivation will never decrease. It would be a dream come true to see Fernando crowned World Champion again. He deserves it. Anything you do in life, if you give your best, sooner or later you will be rewarded”
Since the start of the current season, Fernando Alonso has had consecutive podium finishes for Aston Martin after finishing 3rd in first two races.
