Africa’s No.1 Table Tennis player Quadri Aruna of Nigeria has been eliminated at the ongoing World Table Tennis Finals in Singapore. Aruna Quadri lost 11-7, 12-10, 11-2, 11-2 in the quarter-finals to Brazilian Hugo Calderano who is ranked 5th in the world.
It will be recalled Aruna Quadri made history as the first Nigerian and African Table Tennis player to reach the quarter final of the tournament after he defeated Japan’s Tomokazu Harimo, the world number four player 3-0 a few days ago to reach the quarter-finals of the World Table Tennis (WTT) Smash in Singapore.
The latest defeat of Aruna Quadri has been described as the fastest defeat of the tournament in 10 years
