The manager of the victorious Tanzania club Young Africans Nasredinne Nabi has expressed his excitement about result recorded against Rivers United but quickly shift attention to the second leg.
After a scoreless first half, Congolese striker Fiston Mayele scored twice late in the second half to hand the away side an advantage going into the reverse fixture.
During a post-match conference, Nabi confirmed that they took their chances against Nigeria but believe they still have a lot to do in the second leg.
” I am delighted to win because it is not easy to come to Nigeria and win. We played well and took our chances, but the game is far from over.
We still have the second leg and we need to do even better to ensure we qualify,” he said.
