Ahead of the second leg of the CAF Confederation Cup against Etoile Filante of Burkina Faso, Rivers United goalkeeper Victor Sochima has confirmed their readiness to reach the group stage.
The Nigeria representative played out a goalless draw against the Burkinababes in the first-leg game played at the Yamossoukro stadium in Abidjan a fortnight ago.
The Super Eagles of Nigeria shot-stopper on Thursday spoke about the readiness of the team to secure the much-needed win on Sunday.
“We are in high spirits and everybody is rearing to go, we have prepared and worked hard for the game.
We all understand football and the coaches have told us not to relent because there is going to be a different ball game here on Sunday.
We have passionate fans here in River State and they all believe in Rivers United as a club, they’ve tested what it means to be champions.
They want us to win and we are ready to give them what they want”, he said.
