The midfielder of Nigeria’s representative in the CAF champions league Rivers United Joseph has said it is needed to prove their worth against Wydad Casablanca.
The ‘Pride of Rivers’ will host the defending champions Wydad Casablanca at the Adoke Amasiamaka stadium on Sunday in the first leg of the qualifying round.
While reacting to the important game, Onoja said they are focused on themselves not the opponent and must prove that they are champions of Nigeria.
“The spirit in camp has been warm and receptive. We know what Is at stake.”
“We are not thinking about our opponent, we are thinking about ourselves, what we can do.”
“As far as we are concerned, we are the champions of Nigeria and we have to play like champions. Our opponents what they are doesn’t matter to us. We just have to do what we know how to do best, win”, he told the club media.
