Ben Chilwell has signed a contract extension with Chelsea until 2027.
The England left-back’s deal looked set to expire in 2025 but the Blues have struck a two-year extension with the former Leicester City man.
In what has been a rocky season at Stamford Bridge, the 26-year-old has been vital with his performances from the left flank, barring injuries.
Speaking to the club’s website, Chilwell said: “I feel very settled at Chelsea and have enjoyed my time on the pitch here.
“So I’m very pleased the club wants me to be part of the project long-term and I’m very happy to sign this extension.
“We are working hard for success and I will do my best to bring more smiles to the faces of the fans who have made me feel so welcome.”
Chilwell and Chelsea will visit the Santiago Bernabeu on Wednesday night for a UEFA Champions League quarter-final tie with Real Madrid — a competition the Englishman won in his first season with the club.
He has also lifted the UEFA Super Cup and also has an FA Cup runners-up medal with the London club.
