The Serbian tennis player has reclaimed the No. 1 spot in the ATP world ranking released on Monday despite missing the US tournaments last month due to unvaccinated status.
The 22 times grand slam winner sits on the top ahead of Carlos Alcaraz who was formerly the No. 1 after winning the Indian wells. But the Spaniard was dethroned after he lost in the semi-final of the Miami Open giving Novak Djokovic the chance to secure our record-breaking 380th week as world No. 1.
Currently, Djokovic enjoys a 380-point advantage over Alcaraz, while Stefanos Tsitsipas of Greece trails over 1,000 points behind the leading duo in third place.
