Following his outstanding display against Chelsea, Nottingham Forest has named Nigeria’s Super Eagles forward Taiwo Awoniyi as the club’s Man of the match.
Awoniyi joined the former European champions last summer from the German Bundesliga club Union Berlin and has continued to underline his importance to the team.
Nottingham played host to Chelsea on Sunday in a league game and Awoniyi proved too much for the backline of the Blues as the game ended in a 1-1 draw.
Awoniyi has scored vital goals for the newly promoted side this season including their first home win against West Ham United.
He was voted the Club Man of the Match by the club fans on the evening of the match.
