Relegation-threatened Everton fought to a 1-1 draw against top-four chasing Tottenham Hotspur on the blue side of Stanley Park during a Monday night Premier League clash.
The north London side did find the biggest chances of the match, particularly through out-of-form Son Heung-min, who remains out of touch in front of the goal despite the managerial change after the departure of Conte during the recent international break. Neither side was able to find a goal before halftime.
Everton opened the door for Spurs to find a match-opener when midfielder Abdoulaye Doucouré was given his marching orders after receiving a straight red in the 58th minute. Though there are suggestions that Kane must have been compelled during the incident that saw the Everton man sent off.
Spurs earned a penalty eight minutes later after Cristian Romero was taken down in the box after just beating Michael Keane to a loose ball. Kane stepped up and made no mistake to score the opener.
Second-half substitute Lucas Moura lasted just six minutes before he was given a straight red after going studs up on the shin of Keane. And it would be Keane that would earn redemption just before stoppage time after unleashing a 25-yard belter into the top left corner while rooting Lloris on the line to bring Everton level on the night.
