Following his heroic performance again in the FA Cup, the Manager of the English premier league club Leicester City Brendan Rodgers has hailed Nigeria’s Super Eagles forward Kelechi Iheanacho.
Despite starting the game on the bench, Iheanacho netted the only goal of the game as the Foxes defeated hard-fighting League 2 side Walsall.
“He came into the game with a real fire in his belly to perform and did well.
For a large part of my time here, Vards has been our number one striker, we brought Patson (Daka) in who could replicate that and Kelechi is a fantastic link player for us.’
Hard-working Walsall ensured Leicester knew they were in a game during a combative first half”, Rodgers said.
Iheanacho has now scored 17 goals in 23 matches of the FA cup since making his debut in 2016.
