Even though the Junior Chipolopolo of Zambia proved to be a difficult opponent, the Nigeria’s U20 team secured a comfortable 4-2 win in an international friendly in Abuja.
The game played at the MKO Abiola Stadium in Abuja was keenly contested and the Zambian look more decent than their host.
Haliru Sarki put Nigeria ahead in the 39th minute but Zambia was able to level up in the 60th minute.
Adams Olamilekan made it 2-1 for Nigeria in the 63rd minute but the away side quickly responded with another leveller 3 minutes later.
Emmanuel Uchegbu restored Nigeria’s lead in the 77th minute before Samson Lawal netted the 4th goal in the 87th minute to put the game beyond the reach of Zambian as the game ended 4-2 in favour of Nigeria.
