The manager of Rivers United, Stanley Eguma who is the only sole Representative of Nigeria In CAF confederation cups has expressed his displeasure against the disapproval of CAF for the use of its natural home ground, the Adokiye Amiesimaka during the CAF competition.
Recall It was reported on Tuesday that Rivers Rivers United will play their home matches of the CAF Confederation Cup at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo.
This is because the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium, Portharcourt doesn’t meet up with CAF requirements for hosting games.
Stanley Eguma in an interview stated that it was a surprise not to approve the Adokiye Amiesimaka stadium.
“ it was surprising news to me because I think we have a very good facility here, we have been playing in the continent in the past, why CAF decided I wouldn’t know.
The NFF should wade into the matter because this is the only team on the continent.” Eguma stated
