Liverpool travels to Etihad to take on Manchester City in an interesting matchup, Liverpool hasn’t won any matches in two games in all competitions and they are in danger of going 3 games without a win.
Liverpool’s away form hasn’t been impressive as it used to be, the Reds have scored just 13 goals in 13 away matches and have failed to score in four of their five away matches, and losing 7 matches
A victory against Man City will see them record their 250 away wins in the premier league which only Manchester United, Arsenal, and Chelsea have achieved.
Jurgen Klopp has won 11 of 27 matches as a manager against Pep Guardiola, with the Spaniard claiming nine victories and seven games ending drawn (including those decided by penalty shoot-outs).
The city team will be hoping to win four consecutive matches for the first time this season. On the two previous occasions, they have won three successive top-flight games this term they have lost their next fixture – including a 1-0 defeat to Liverpool in October.
Man City will be hoping to close the gap between them and the league leaders with a win against Liverpool.
Manchester City will be without Phil Foden and in doubt is also the highest goal scorer in the league Erling Haaland, he pulled out of international duties due to a groin injury.
Liverpool’s Darwin Nunez is also a doubt while the likes of Thiago, Naby Keita, and Calvin Ramsay remain sidelined and Luiz Diaz who just returned from injury is nearing a return to the pitch although this match may be too soon for him.
