French midfielder Ngolo Kante stepped up his rehabilitation and get closer to making an appearance for Chelsea in a competitive match again following his impressive performance in the club’s 3-0 win over Charlton Athletics in a friendly game that was played on Friday afternoon behind the closed doors at Cobhams
Goals from Dion Rankine, Silko Thomas, and Malik Mothersille saw the club’s development squad defeat Charlton Athletic 3-0 with Kante playing 60minutes in the game
Kante has not played for the Blues since mid-August, with a hamstring injury sustained against Tottenham Hotspur keeping him out for seven months now.
His return will be a major boost for Chelsea and they enter the crucial stage towards the end of the season.
Chelsea will return to domestic action against Aston Villa after the international break and have a date with UCL Defending champions Real Madrid in April as well
