Babatunde Adepoju has expressed how difficult it was to leave Nyasa Big Bullets following his move to Venda Football Academy.
The Nigerian forward this week completed his transfer to the South African National First Division side after signing a three-and-a-half-year deal that Bullets announced on Friday.
In a message to Maule, posted on his official Facebook page, the 2022 TNM Super League top goal scorer, who joined The Peoples Team in the middle of the 2021 season, said:
“Words fail me, it’s difficult to say bye to a team I loved most and achieved a lot [in] a short period. I believe there is time for everything, and this is another time for me to say bye to Bullet’s family. A deal is sealed and I am now a Venda player. The three-year deal I signed with Bullets has to be cut short.”
Babatunde made 46 appearances for the Bullets, scoring 34 goals and providing ten assists. He also scooped the 2021 Airtel Top 8 and 2022 FDH Bank Cup Golden Boot awards.
