Ex-Super Eagles striker Obafemi Martins’ son Kevin Maussi Martins has signed his first professional contract at Italian Serie A club Monza.
Recall Obafemi Martins had an excellent career. He played in the Serie A for Inter Milan, and in the Premier League for Newcastle United, before moving to the United States of America and China in the twilight of his career.
Kevin has also followed in his father’s footsteps. The youngster, who operates as an attacker joined the AC Milan academy before switching to Inter Milan in 2018. He then rose the ranks before switching to Monza.
On Saturday, the Serie A club Monza announced that Kevin margins had signed his first professional contract at the club which will last till June 2024, and Martins took to social media to share his excitement.
“Congratulations my son, I’m so proud of you. I wish you a long and successful career at Monza,” Obafemi Martins wrote.
Kevin has played for the Italian under-15 team and has a goal to his name after three games, but Kevin still can switch to Nigeria because he does not have a senior cap yet.
