Nigeria’s international Anthony Nwakaeme was the hero on Monday evening in the Saudi Arabia Pro League as Al Fayha defeated Al-Tai SC 2-1.
Former Hapoel Be’er Sheva of Israel joined the Arabian side last summer after a successful season with the Turkish Super Lig club Trabzonspor.
Paulinho of Brazil scored the opening goal in the 3rd minute before Nwakaeme sealed the win with the second goal in the 21st minute.
Al-Tai halved the deficit in the 45th through Deener but was unable to level the game in the second half.
Nwakaeme has one cap for Nigeria’s Super Eagles and it was in an international friendly.Yea
