Barely 48 hours after returning to Italy, Nigeria’s Super Eagles defender William Troost Ekong is set to make his debut for Salernitana.
Ekong joined the struggling Serie A side on Wednesday on loan from the English Championship side Watford FC.
He resumed training with the club on Wednesday evening and was also in training with the team on Thursday.
The club technical crew released the list of players that will confront Lecce in a league match on Friday and Ekong’s name featured prominently on the list.
Ekong is not new to Italian football as he played for Udinese in the past.
