Following the sacking of Jorge Vilda as the head coach of the Women’s Spanish national team, the Spanish Football Association appointed another coach.
The Spanish football body sacked Vilda following the kissing scandal rocking the women’s football in the country.
The football has announced the appointment of Montse Tomé as the team’s new head coach and she will take charge of the team with immediate effect.
She was an assistant on the World Cup-winning side and became the first woman to take charge of Spain.
Over 80 female players have confirmed they will not play for the Spanish national team until FA President Rubiales resigns from his position.
The decision of the FA to change hands in the technical crew is likely to give players a change of mind
