When the Croatia League resume in the new year, Nigeria’s Super Eagles defender Chidozie Awaziem will be playing under a new manager as Hajduk Split appointed Ivan Leko.
Awaziem signed a year deal with the Croatia side last summer after having a decent outing with Portuguese Primera Liga side Boavista.
The first official match of the former legendary and trophy-winning captain of the Whites is expected in the championship test with Šibenik, which will be played on January 22 at Poljud.
Leko returns to his home club after more than 17 years and won the championship title as a player with the Whites in the 2004/2005 season.
The official presentation of the new coach of the Whites will be held at a press conference on Wednesday, January 4 in the afternoon.
