Arsenal were by far the better side but had nothing to show for it but in the 62nd minute, Thomas Partey halved the deficit for Arsenal as he scored from an Emile Smith Rowe’s pass.
Arsenal was mounting pressure on Bournemouth’s defence, attack after attack. All Bournemouth could do is to defend but he could not hold Arsenal back from getting an equalizer. In the 70th minute, a substitute turned provider for another substitute as Ben White netted the equalizer for the Gunners after connecting to Reiss Nelson’s cross.
Arsenal were relentless in their attacks recording 30 attempts on goal and 17 corner kicks in the game but were rewarded with, what was the last-ditch chance of the game when the ball fell for substitute Reiss Nelson from a deflected corner and he directed the shot goal ward and was enough to beat Neto at the Bournemouth’s goal.
Arsenal has now extended their lead on the top of the table to five points ahead of their closest rival Manchester City.
