Senegalese President, Macky Sall welcomed the Cubs of Teranga during a special ceremony following their coronation for AFCON U20 2023.
The Head of State said he was satisfied with the performance of his young ambassadors.
After their failures in the final of the 2015, 2017 and 2019 editions, Senegal finally won the first AFCON under 20 in their history by disposing The Gambia (2-0), on Saturday in Cairo, Egypt.
The president announced that the delegation of the team will each receive a cash reward of 10 million FCFA ( US$16, 324.01) for making the country proud
