Nigeria’s Flying Eagles will have their hands full when the 2023 U20 World Cup kick-off in Argentina as they have been handed tough opponents to contend with.
The Nigerian side was among the 4 African representatives in the biennial tournament after they finished in the position of the 2023 U20 African Cup of Nations in Egypt
The draws were conducted at the FIFA Headquarters in Zurich, Switzerland on Friday afternoon and Nigeria was drawn in Group D alongside Brazil, Italy and the Dominican Republic.
African champions Junior Teranga Lions of Senegal were drawn in Group C with Colombia, Japan and Israel and the Gambia who finished in the second position in Egypt will face France, Korea and Honduras in Group F.
The competition will run from May 20th to June 11th 2023.
