Belgian Jupiler league club RKC Genk has revealed the reason they signed former Nigeria’s Flying Eagles attacker Yira Sor.
The Limburgers on Wednesday announced the acquisition of the fast winger until 2027 from the Czech Republic club Slavia Prague.
The performance of Sor in the UEFA Europa League was one of the reasons Genk approached Slavia for his services.
” The combination of his speed and technique makes him a scourge for any defence and his dynamic style of play gives our squad, even more, attacking options.
The sensation of the Conference League will start from now on with an individual training program and then, when the squad returns from the current break, will join the squad of Wouter Vrancken with the number 14 on their back”, the statement read.
Sor was part of Nigeria’s Flying Eagles team at the 2019 FIFA U20 World Cup in Poland.
