Ahead of the first leg of the CAF Confederation Cup, Nigeria’s representative Rivers United has arrived in Uyo the venue of the match.
The Pride of Rivers has adopted the Goidswill Akpabio Stadium as their home ground for the Confederation Cup after Adoke Amasiamaka Stadium failed to get CAF approval.
They set up a clash with the defending champions USM Algiers after finishing second behind Dream FC of Ghana in group A.
The team under the technical adviser Stanley Eguma will in Thursday touchdown in Uyo and they are expected to commence preparation immediately.
The first leg match is fixed for 2 pm local time on Sunday with the reverse fixture next weekend in Algiers.
