Japan-based Oyo State-born pugilist, Ridwan Oyekola has announced his latest ranking as the number one boxer in the Japanese Featherweight category.
The Ibadan-born boxer announced this on his official Facebook page.
According to Ridwan, “Congratulations to us, I want to make an announcement that I am now officially No:1 ranked in featherweight division Japan today in Tokyo Dome kurakuen all, my opponent for my title match was decided today in July 25th undercard of INOUYE NAOYA, stay tuned for new update ALHAMDULILAH it a plan of almighty Allah

Oyekola shot into the limelight when the 24-year-old boxer won the World Boxing Federation (WBF) International Super Featherweight Championship, held in Ibadan on December 27, 2020.
Ridwan relocated from Nigeria to Japan in 2022 and has continued to dominate headlines in the Japanese boxing circle where he has been undefeated in all fights in Asia at the moment
