Former assistant coach of the Super Eagles Usman Abdallah has urged the Nigeria Football Federation ( NFF) to invest in local coaches.
Finidi George came under harsh criticism following the Super Eagles’ failure to pick the required results on days 3 and 4 of the World Cup qualifier.
While speaking to Brila FM radio, a former Enyimba coach asked NFF to invest in them.
” Nigeria has to select about 5 to 7 of us and upgrade us.
” Upgrading means sending us to places where we can gain some attachments and experience, I’ve been saying this.
” We can’t just sit down and expect things to work, they have to sacrifice and invest in us”, he said.
Just like Finidi, Abdallah also worked as an assistant to the former Super Eagles coach Jose Peseiro.
