Ahead of the crucial game against Sunshine Stars, the management of Doma United has denied the allegations of owing the players.
The Savannah Tigers will tackle the Akure Gunners in the rescheduled match on Wednesday and the news filtered in on Tuesday that the players have refused to train due to unpaid allowances and bonuses.
The club released a statement on Tuesday evening debunking the allegations.
“Inaccurate statements have circulated alleging that the team has refused to train due to unpaid salaries and match bonuses for the past two months.
All Doma United players are fully committed and focused on tomorrow’s match, which is vital for our survival in the league.
Our management is fully aware of our financial obligations and diligently works to ensure all commitments are met.
We urge the public to disregard these baseless reports and focus on supporting our team as we prepare for tomorrow’s important match”, the club said.
