Rivers Angels have emerged the champions of the President Federation Cup for a record-extending 9th time in the history of the tournament after defeating Abuja-based Naija Ratels by a lone goal at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, Lagos on Saturday.
Nigeria U-20 player Okpe Blessing’s first-half penalty for Rivers Angels made the difference between the two teams after Naija Ratels defender Adebayo Jumai handled the ball in her box.
Naija Ratels is the first club from Abuja in 24 years to reach the final of the Women’s Cup.
