Head coach of the Teranga Lions of Senegal Aliou Cisse has dedicated his team victory to the injured Sadio Mane.
Mane was ruled out of the competition after he sustained an injury during a club assignment with Bayern Munich.
Senegal on Friday reached the round of 16 of the World cup in Qatar after they defeated Ecuador 2-1.
Cisse during the post-match conference dedicated the victory to the experienced attacker.
“I would also like to dedicate this victory to a man who is doing extraordinary things for the country, who is unfortunately not here today. This man is called Sadio Mané” he said.
Senegal will hope to continue their impressive this display on Sunday when they confront England in the round of 16 of the competition.
