With the FIFA World Cup still ongoing in Qatar, a club coach has lost his job due to the competition.
Wydad Casablanca of Morocco on Thursday afternoon announced the sacking of its manager Hussein Ammouta with immediate effect
Ammouta was accused of travelling to the Qatar World cup to watch Morocco without the permission of the club management.
The soft-spoken manager was in charge of the team when they walloped Nigeria’s champions Rivers United in the final round of the CAF champions league qualifier.
He is also responsible for the impressive performance of the club in the domestic scene but the management refused to acknowledge his good work.
The club is expected to name a new manager before the resumption of the league
