The federation of Cameroon Football( FECAFOOT) has released a statement backing the decision of the head of the Indomitable Lions Rigobert Song on goalkeeper Andre Onana.
Just before their second group game against Serbia on Monday, the Inter Milan goalkeeper was axed from the squad with the coach citing indiscipline as the reason behind his decision.
The decision of the coach generated a lot of arguments and debates among the fans but the federation has decided to back the manager through a statement.
After playing a 3-3 draw against Serbia, the former African champions will have to beat former World champions Brazil in the final group match to have a chance to qualify for the round of 16.
