Ahead of the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup, Canada Women’s national team has opened camp for the tournament that will kick off next month.
The current Olympic Games champion is one of the favorites for the competition that will be co-hosted by Australia and New Zealand.
The team opened the camp on Wednesday and commenced training as other invited players are expected to resume before the weekend.
Canada will face 9-time champions Super Falcons of Nigeria in the opening group game before facing Australia and the Republic of Ireland later in the tournament.
They are expected to depart their Toronto camp by next week for Australia where they are expected to begin their adaptation before the competition will kick on the 20th of July.
