The head coach of Canada’s Matildas Bev Priestman has insisted that they won’t underestimate their group opponent Nigeria.
Both sides were drawn in the same group B in the draw conducted in Auckland on Saturday morning while the Republic of Ireland and Australia are the two other teams in the group.
Canada will open their campaign in the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup with a tough match against Nigeria’s Super Falcons.
Priestman said Super Falcons is a team one will not want to face but they are prepared for the match.
“They are not an easy team to play, out of that pot, they are probably the team you didn’t want.
I won’t be underestimating them. However, experience is on our side and will use that”, she insisted.
