The Confederation of African Football( CAF) has released the list of the approved stadia for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier.
The football body on Tuesday unveiled the calendar for the qualifier as it is slated to commence in November 2023.
Despite having 4 stadia that have recently hosted the FIFA and CAF International games, only one stadium in Nigeria got the approval to host the qualifier.
Goodswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo is the only stadium that was approved while the likes of Abuja International Stadium, Samuel Ogbemudia, Benin and Stephen Keshi Stadium in Delta state failed to get the nod.
The Uyo-based stadium will host the Super Eagles final group game of the 2023 African Cup of Nations qualifier against Sao Tome and Principe next week.
