The Zimbabwe Football Association seems to have picked its adopted venue for the upcoming 2026 World Cup qualifiers that will start in November 2023.
The Warriors of Zimbabwe returned to football a few months ago after the World Soccer ruling body lifted their 18-month ban.
The country’s national stadium in Harare failed to get FIFA approval for the International matches and ZIFA has searching for venues that will host the qualifiers.
The football body finally adopted the Rwandan stadium in Kigali as their home ground and Nigeria’s Super Eagles will be their first opponent at the venue.
The last time Zimbabwe hosted Super Eagles in a World Cup was in 2001 in Harare and it ended 3-0 in favour of Nigeria
