The Interim Management Company, known as the IMC, held a meeting with the management of the Nigeria Television Authority, NTA to discuss a broadcasting opportunity for the NPFL.
The meeting which was held at the Abuja office of the NTA on Tuesday had the attendance of the leadership of both the TV station, Salihu Dembos, and IMC, Gbenga Elegbeleye, and was centered around partnership as regards broadcasting for the league.
Recall that, after Supersports stopped viewing the NPFL, the Nigerian league has been inconsistent with a terrestrial TV broadcast even with the arrival of the NPFL TV which is also floundering.
Meanwhile, both parties, IMC and NTA will have to reconvene for another meeting to seal a concrete agreement regarding broadcasting opportunities.
However, the league will continue to be on its long holiday as the IMC is yet to announce a tentative date for resumption.
