Relegation-threatened US Cremonese secured a valuable away draw on Saturday against the heard fighting Monza.
The draw came at a cost for the club as one of their reliable attacker David Okereke had to be replaced in the 64th minute due to injury.
The fiercely contested game started with Monza controlling the game but they were able to hold back by the backline of Cremonese.
After a goalless first half, Ciofani put Cremonese ahead in the 61st minute before Nigeria’s international Okereke was subbed off in the 64th minute.
Carlos Augusto netted a leveler for the host in the 69th minute as the game ended in a 1-1 draw.
