Nigerian defender Leon Balogun has made his return from a long-term injury. Balogun was handed 45 minutes as he feature for Queens Park Rangers B team as they defeated Birmingham City 2-0 in a Professional Development League fixture on Monday, March 27.
QPR head coach Gareth Ainsworth sent the defender to the B team to get match fitness hoping to return to full fitness for the first team after the current international break.
The defender was out for four months after injuring his calf against Huddersfield on November 2022.
Before his injury, the defender had 12 appearances for QPR, scoring one goal. The injury has kept him out of at least 19 games for his club plus two international windows for Nigeria.
With his return, QPR manager Ainsworth will have more experienced options at the back to help the struggling defense and help the team
