With 2 match days to the end of the 2023 African Cup of Nations qualifiers, the Confederation of African Football ( CAF) has announced the draw date of the group stage of the tournament.
The Executive Committee of the body under the tutelage of Patrice Motsepe met in Algier on Thursday and decided on some pressing issues.
They formalised June and September 2023 as the date for days 5 and 6 of the qualifier to further allows teams to prepare very well.
They further announced October 12th as the date for the group stage draw for the competition slated to hold in Ivory Coast in January/February 2024.
Only 7 countries have booked their place in the biennial tournament and Nigeria’s Super Eagles is among the country that will qualify for the tournament if they can secure a win against the Leone Stars of Sierra Leone in the match day 5 fixed for Liberia.
