After much deliberation and discussion, the group opponent of Nigeria’s Golden Eaglets at the U17 African Cup of Nations Morocco has finally arrived in Algeria.
Just like it happened at the last CHAN competition, Algeria refused to open its airspace to Moroccan flights and the matter has caused a lot of issues, Moroccan football federation president Fouzi Lekja has threatened to pull the team out again.
Contrary to what happened in January during the CHAN where the Moroccan federation refused any alternative solution, this time the Royal Moroccan Football Federation chartered a plane from the Star East charter company from Romania to fly the team from Rabat to Constantine in Algeria where Morocco group matches will take place.
Morocco who is placed in the same group alongside Nigeria, Zambia a d South Africa arrived in Algeria in the afternoon and they’ve settled down for the competition kick kick-off
