With a few weeks to the start of the 2023 U17 African Cup of Nations in Algeria, the coach of Nigeria’s Golden Eaglets Nduka Ugbade has confirmed that there is still some work to be done on the team.
He further stated that they are prepared to make the country proud by the time the tournament kicks off.
The Nigerian side qualified for the competition after they emerged as the champions of the WAFU Be regional tournament which was held in Cape Coast, Ghana.
While speaking on the readiness of the team, a former Super Eagles defender stated that they are ready to make the country proud.
“I’m happy with the level of work we’ve done and the type of playing staff at our disposal. I believe that everything will go perfectly and that we will have a team that will make the country proud at the tournament.
“We know that there is still work to be done in the coming weeks to get the team in great shape,” he said.
