After securing a hard-fought win over Zambia, South Africa coach Crowie Duncan has stated that a draw is what they required against Nigeria to reach the quarter-final.
Despite scoring twice in the game, the Amajimbos allowed Zambia to rally back into the game but South Africa still found a way to net the winning goal.
South Africa and Nigeria are both on 3 points and the winner of the final group game on Saturday will finish second in the group.
Nothing is done yet. This is a tough group and anything can happen. We still have work to do but at least now we have a win to work with.
We will just need a draw in that match to get through,” noted the coach”, he said.
