The Nigeria beach soccer team known as the Sand Eagles will get its opponents on Friday at Maputo, Mozambique.
Following a statement from CAF on Tuesday, the competition will be divided into two groups amongst a total of eight teams.
The eight teams are hosts, Mozambique, defending Champions, Senegal, Uganda, Madagascar, Malawi, Egypt, Morocco and Nigeria.
This is the first time, Sand Eagles will be returning to competitive play after missing the 2021 edition held in Senegal.
The Sand Eagles can boast of a good run of performances in their last eight outings. The Sand Eagles have won the competition twice in 2007 and 2009. Moreover, they have won silver medals on three occasions, 2006, 2016 and 2018, including a bronze medal in 2015.
The competition is scheduled to be held in Vilankulo, Mozambique from Friday, 21st to Friday, 28th, October.
