One of Nigeria’s representatives at the CAF Confederations Cup this afternoon defeated Libyan opposition Al-Nasr Benghazi at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium in Port Harcourt, Nigeria.
The hosts were 3 goals up before halftime after goals from Ebube Duru from the spot, Kazie Enyinnaya, and Paul Acquah. On resumption from the break, the hosts scored two goals in ten minutes when Ebube Duru was on hand to convert again from the spot in the 64th minute, and Malachi Ohawune completed the rout ten minutes later.
The “Pride of Rivers” as they are fondly called by their supporters will carry the five-goal cushion to the second leg which will be played in Benghazi on the 9th of November, 2022.
The winner over two legs will qualify for the group stage of the CAF Confederations Cup.
