The coach of the APC Lobito of Angola Carlos Eduardo has revealed the reason his team lost 3-0 to Rivers United in Uyo.
The debutant suffered a heavy loss to Nigeria’s representative in the opening group match of the CAF Confederation Cup.
The Portuguese gaffer has attributed the defeat to the age of his team but believed they had learned a lesson in Nigeria.
” We are young and this is the first time we are playing in this kind of competition and we have to continue working for the next match.
We suffered 2 goals at the beginning and the boys didn’t react very well about the goals.
They gave too much respect to Rivers United at the beginning and it shows that the boys are ready for this kind of game.
We have learned a lesson from this game and we have to work hard for the next game.
We lost by 3 goals but it doesn’t mean we have lost everything, it’s part of the game”, he said.
APC Lobito will host the Tunisian giant Club Africain in their second game.
