Barely 3 weeks to the start of the group stage of the CAF Confederation Cup group stage, the African soccer ruling body has rejected the home ground of Dream FC of Ghana.
Dream FC is one of the debutants in this year’s competition and they are placed in the same group alongside APC Lobito of Angola, Club Africain of Tunisia and Nigeria’s Rivers United.
According to the update coming from the CAF headquarters in Cairo, Egypt, the Cape Coast stadium has been rejected for the group stage match.
As Dream FC is making their debut in the tournament, Rivers United was in the quarter-final of the same competition last season losing to Yanga SC of Tanzania.
Dream FC now has Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi to host their games.
